Leaving San Luis Potosí State, the landscape slowly changes in Guanajuato State: larger columnar cactus groups, Opuntia bushes and Myrtillocactus specimens grow on the brown rocky lands. Close to Mesa de Jesús, next to a church, signs of a spatial activity were seen. The larger Opuntia trees were cut back whereas others were completely removed. Due to the fog there was a strong precipitation the surfaces. Tillandsias were grown not only on the trees but also on cacti. Next to Tula de Allende, there is a museum that exhibit pyramids, sculptures and other remaining of the Aztec Empire. Along the entrance, large columnar cacti were planted, but in the flowerbeds in the museum, lots of smaller cacti, such as Mammillarias and Ferocactus latispinus were also found.
